Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition could be launched soon in India. As the name suggests, this variant of C15 has a Qualcomm processor instead of the MediaTek Helio G35 which is also what powers the Realme C11 and C12. The smartphone will likely have other specs all the same, but the processor will make a difference in terms of performance. As a result, the price of the Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition is likely to be higher than that of the existing model.
According to whistleblower Mukul Sharma, Realme has plans to put a Qualcomm processor inside the C15 but that processor is still unclear. It could be the Snapdragon 460 processor that currently powers some budget smartphones from Motorola and Oppo. In that case, the price of the Realme C15 could increase by Rs 500 – Rs 1,000. The tipster also suggested that this upcoming variant of the C15 could come with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage. The color variants will be Power Silver and Power Blue.
Realme C15 launched in August as the third and highest-end C-series phone. The company had just modified its C-series to launch multiple phones at once instead of launching one after one over time. It launched C11, C12 and C15 within a few days. The common factor among these smartphones is the processor: MediaTek Helio G35. Realme might try to give a processor option on the C11 and C12 as well, in addition to the C15.
In a recent interview, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth said it could launch Qualcomm Editions for the full C range should customers demand it. It hasn’t confirmed which processor will be on these phones but, at least, we have confirmation right from the horse’s mouth.
As for the specs, the Realme C15 has a 6.5-inch 720p LCD with a notch on the top. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which works in tandem with the Helio G35 processor. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone. For photography, there’s a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP black and white sensor, and a retro sensor. For selfies, you have an 8MP camera that resides inside the notch. Powering the smartphone is a 6000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging.
