Realme 7i launched with 90Hz screen, 5000mAh battery: India price, specifications

Realme 7i was made official in India at today’s Leap to Next Gen event. The new 7 series smartphone brings the 90Hz screen to an even lower price, just like what Realme 6i did last time. It’s essentially a stripped down version where you’re making some compromises to pay less than you would for the Realme 7 marquee. But those differences aside, the Realme 7i looks promising for its price. In addition to the Realme 7i, the company is launching a flurry of products, including a 55-inch 4K SLED TV, soundbar, electric toothbrush, selfie tripod, and more.

Realme 7i price in India

The Realme 7i variant with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory costs Rs 11,999 and the one with 128 GB of memory costs Rs 12,999. It is available in Aurora Green and Polar Blue colors. The first sale for Realme 7i starts at noon on October 16 from Flipkart and the Realme online store. Flipkart Big Billion Days start on October 16, so you can expect some exchange offers and discounts on Realme 7i.

Realme 7i specifications

Realme 7i is equipped with a 6.5-inch 90Hz LCD with a resolution of 720p. It is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass and has a 90% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. But if you need more, you can add a microSD card of up to 256GB to a dedicated slot. The smartphone runs the Android 10-based Realme user interface and has a fingerprint sensor on the back.

For optics, the Realme 7i has four cameras on the back. There is a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel black and white camera. The whole setup is assisted by an LED flash on the back. The camera island design is like the one we have on the Realme 7. On the front, there is a 16 megapixel camera inserted into the punch hole.

Powering the Realme 7i is a 5000mAh battery that charges up to 18W. Realme offers first-class 65W fast charging on Realme 7 Pro while Realme 7 has 30W, so packing 18W on Realme 7i feels like a sensible move considering the hierarchy. There’s a USB-C port at the bottom for charging, and the supplied charger provides an 18W output. You also have a 3.5mm headphone jack on the Realme 7i.

Realme 7i is the third smartphone in the 7 series that previously saw the launch of Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro.
