Realme 7 5G launch date announced, seems rebranded Realme V5 5G

Realme 7 5G will launch on November 19th as a global variant of Realme V5 5G. Realme’s latest 5G smartphone was anticipated to have a punch-hole display and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which also means no OLED display. The Realme 7 5G was spotted on the Thai certification website, which is also the source of any information Realme didn’t provide with the official teaser.

The Thai NBTC had the Realme 7 5G listed with the model number RMX2111 associated with the Realme V5 5G launched in China. This clear makes it clear that Realme 7 5G is a renamed version of Realme V5 5G meant for global markets. The latest teaser for Realme 7 5G is from Realme UK which means the next device will be headed to the UK first.

Now that we know that Realme 7 5G and Realme V5 5G will be the same devices, the specs should be common. On top of what Realme shared in the teaser, the 7 5G is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor under the hood. This processor will be responsible for the 5G connectivity on the device as it comes with a built-in 5G modem.

The Realme 7 5G is also expected to have a 6.5-inch 1080p LCD with 90Hz refresh rate. This will be true because the fingerprint sensor is not below the display, which is otherwise present in the case of an OLED panel. The smartphone may come with a 48MP main camera on the back along with three others. The selfie snapper on the device should have a 16MP sensor inside the hole. Supporting the device will be a 5000mAh battery with fast charging up to 30W.

From a design perspective, Realme 7 5G will be identical to both Realme 7 and V5 5G. There are two rectangular blocks with a different gradient design delimited by a line running through the camera module. The camera island is also rectangular with rounded edges, which has recently become a signature for Realme’s mid-range phones. The color variants are not known but should be the same as the Realme V5 5G has in China.

Realme is launching the 7 5G in the UK, but could bring the device to more markets, including India. But that may not happen anytime soon as Realme is soon launching the X7 and X7 Pro in India as their next 5G devices. The company has yet to provide a launch date for the X7 series.

Realme will launch Realme 7 5G in the UK later this month and this phone will be a rebranded version of Realme V5 5G.
