Qualcomm and Trimble announce GNSS location partnership for Android flagships
Trimble RTX delivers more accurate, higher-quality navigation location with lane-level guidance for premium Android phones. The added service will be available for app developers and service providers to contribute more accurate location information improving the user experience for mapping, driving and other forms of navigation.
Trimble RTX GNSS positioning technology will be available in Q2 for Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 888 powered phones. Trimble is teaming up with Qualcomm to enable meter-level (3-foot) location accuracy for cellphones, which the firm claims is 5x more precise than currently available mobile correction services platforms.
