The mock-up also shows that the bezels are slightly smaller but not enough to require any tweaks in the iOS interface. We also expect that both the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will have a “pill + hole punch” cutout instead of a notch. That’s what the model in the video shows – great news for those who despise the notch. Additionally, the iPhone 15 lineup is expected to feature the “pill + hole punch” cutout as well. USB-C stans will have to wait longer as the iPhone 14 lineup is likely to still feature a lightning port, as seen on the mock-up. Reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the iPhone 15 lineup will be the first to use a USB-C port.
With only approximately four months till the release of the iPhone 14, Apple fans everywhere are excited for the new handset. Unbox Therapy, a YouTuber, shows off a CAD (computer-aided design) mock-up of an iPhone 14 Pro Max built in Japan. At first glance, the mock-up appears to be similar to the iPhone 13 Pro Max. However, there are a few variations between the two versions depending on the mock-up gadget. Unbox Therapy adds that with an iPhone 13 Pro Max in hand, the mock-up feels a little thicker than the 13 Pro Max. The camera bump is substantially larger, adding weight to the smartphone. The volume and power buttons are also somewhat bigger. There are no visible antenna bands on the device’s side.
This new mock-up seems to follow everything we’ve seen so far regarding the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It feels a bit dull that the device looks identical to the past two generations, but progress is a gradual thing. Only a few more months to go to see if these predictions will come to fruition. Overall, if you’re used to an iPhone 13 Pro Max, holding the 14 Pro Max shouldn’t feel any different.
