Photos of the Poco F4 5G have leaked and the phone is rumored to be based on the Redmi K40S

Camera changes aside, the new Poco F phone should have a 6.67” AMOLED display (FHD+, 120Hz), 6/128GB memory configuration, a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging (0-100% in 38 minutes), stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. And probably an 8MP ultra wide and 2MP macro cameras on the back, plus a 20MP cam on the front. There should be a Snapdragon 870 inside – a tried and true chipset, but a couple of generations behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that the Poco F4 GT uses (which itself is based on the Redmi K50 Gaming).

Images of the incoming Poco F4 5G have leaked, and this phone, like the Poco F4 GT, is a Redmi K-series device. The three lenses positioned in a triangle on the two-step camera bump are very similar to the Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K40S. According to unconfirmed information, the Poco F4 5G is based on the Redmi K40S. It’s not similar because the K40S has a 48MP camera and the sticker on the rear plainly indicates “64MP OIS” (with OIS). Highlights

  • The GT model launched globally in late April/early May starting with an early bird price of €500 (for an 8/128GB model). When the K40S launched in China in mid-March, its base price was CNY 1,800 for a 6/128GB model, which converts to $270/€250/₹21,000. Which is to say that we expect the Poco F4 5G to cost somewhere in the middle. For reference, the Poco F3 (which used the same chipset, by the way) launched at €350 and is now down to €260.
