Performance issues on Linux are (informally) addressed by the Xbox Cloud Gaming team

There’s an update on the situation from a another Reddit user, u/CohenJordan, who is apparently a member of the Xbox Cloud Gaming team. He goes on to explain that the issue is a purely technical one deriving from the fact that Linux is not technically a supported platform for Xbox Cloud Gaming. u/CohenJordan added that the team wants everyone to have the best game streaming experience possible regardless of OS. As we reported yesterday, the drop in image quality while utilizing Xbox Cloud Gaming on Linux can be remedied by using Edge Browser’s Clarity Boost feature

When compared to Windows, Xbox Cloud Gaming on Linux operating systems significantly underperformed, as we revealed yesterday. A Reddit user who tested the streaming service on both Windows and the Linux distribution Manjaro initially made this information public.
