Pelosi and Schumer promise swift action on Biden’s stimulus package

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said Thursday that Congress would have the right to work on President-elect Joe Biden’s stimulus package.

“The emergency relief framework announced tonight by the Biden-Harris administration is the right approach,” Pelosi and Schumer said in a joint statement. “We will have the right to work to transform President-elect Biden’s vision into legislation that will pass both chambers and be signed into law.”
