Oppo may have started rolling out the stable version of its Android 11-based ColorOS 11 software on the first set of devices. Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro are now getting the update if a new report is to be believed. These two smartphones were the first to get the ColorOS 11 beta soon after Google launched Android 11 for Pixel phones in September.
According to a report by RMUpdate, the Oppo Find X2, Find X2 Pro and Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition smartphones have started receiving the stable version of ColorOS 11. The versions are named CPH2023_11_C.05 for Find X2 and CPH2025_11_C. 05 for Find X2 Pro and Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition. We can independently verify that the update is also available for Find X2 series users in India.
The report mentioned that the ColorOS 11 stable update will be rolled out incrementally to users around the world. According to the report, European users will receive the update to Android 11 in late December or, finally, in January. Testers may already receive the update.
The latest ColorOS 11 update brings better dark mode with variations for your phone. There are stricter privacy settings, an overhauled power menu button, smart responses, and the chat bubble feature for instant messaging apps. In my ColorOS 11 review that I did a few weeks ago, I mentioned how elegant the software is. The features of Android 11 have been used in their fullest form with the Oppo flavor on top. So while you try out the core features of Android 11, ColorOS 11 offers some additional features that are useful in virtually any scenario.
Oppo released the list of phones eligible for the ColorOS 11 update earlier this year. While Find X2 and Find X2 Pro were the first phones, Oppo will gradually roll out the update to a larger set of devices, including those from the Reno and A series. As the stable version for the Find X2 series is now available, that would mean also that the beta tests of ColorOS 11 are almost finished for other smartphones too. But Oppo has yet to confirm this.
