OnePlus launched the Nord earlier this year, and the company has since launched two more devices under the Nord N10 and Nord N100 line-up. While these two additions are interesting devices, they are in no way a sequel to the original Nord. However, it now appears that OnePlus could change that by launching a new OnePlus Nord smartphone in the coming months.
This is according to popular tipster, Max Jambor, who in an enigmatic teaser Twitter shared what appears to be the codename for the Nord 2. According to the tipster, the new device was codenamed Denniz.
For now, little is known about the device, with no details yet available about the phone’s hardware or its internals. However, it can be expected that the phone will house an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series chipset and improve the cameras a bit too. We can even expect a faster Fluid AMOLED display that can refresh at 120Hz instead of 90Hz on the original North.
Other phone specs should also be an upgrade over the OnePlus Nord. As a reminder, OnePlus Nord was launched in early July in the country and is currently OnePlus’ cheapest device. In terms of specs, the OnePlus Nord is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G 5G processor that has been paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, although the variant below Rs 25,000 has 6GB of RAM. .
The smartphone features a quad rear camera on the back that houses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the Nord features a perforated dual camera that includes a 32-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
The battery is a great strength of the OnePlus Nord. Keeping the lights on on the device is a 4115mAh rechargeable battery with support for 30-watt fast charging via the USB Type-C port. The phone generally lasts a day on a single charge and can be recharged very quickly using the Warp charger the company has bundled with the device.
