OnePlus launched the Nord N10 and N100 smartphones a few weeks ago. Announced for select markets, the two phones have been in short supply since their launch. This is especially true of the Nord N100 which is now slowly starting to make its way among buyers and the wider OnePlus fan community.
As the phone’s availability has improved, we also found that the phone actually offers some features that aren’t mentioned in the spec sheet. Case point a 90Hz display. Despite being OnePlus’ cheapest phone to date, the phone packs a display that can be upgraded to 90Hz. Interestingly, this is even after the phone’s official spec sheet shows it is equipped with a 60Hz panel.
The information was shared by the Android Authority, which after purchasing a unit of OnePlus Nord N100 pointed out that it is a 90Hz refresh rate. After this was brought to the attention of OnePlus, the company withdrew its previous information about a 60Hz refresh rate and confirmed that the phone does indeed have support for the 90Hz refresh rate.
As for the other specs of the Nord N100, it’s a low-end device, which is why it overlooks specs a bit. The phone has a large 6.52-inch display paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Under the hood, we have a Snapdragon 460 SoC with support for 4G.
There is a 13-megapixel main camera, which sits alongside two other portrait and macro lenses. Again, there is no in-display scanner and the phone relies on a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As for the battery, the phone has a large 5,000mAh battery, but can only be quickly charged up to 18W.
In addition to the Nord N100, the company had also launched N10. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage which has been paired with a Snapdragon 690 SoC for solid performance. The phone carries with it a large 6.49-inch screen which is also rated to run at a 90Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, this screen is larger than the one found on the OnePlus Nord.
The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, but no in-display reader. Other device specs include dual stereo speakers, which again weren’t included in the original Nord. The phone comes with a four-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel main camera, 119-degree ultrawide, macro, and monochrome lens. For selfies, the phone has a 16 megapixel camera.
