In recent weeks, we’ve heard more and more rumors about OnePlus’ next flagship, the OnePlus 9 Pro. The phone is expected to launch early next year, with a mid-March timeline slated for launch.

Last week there was talk of the phone’s rise, with the OnePlus 9 CAD renders first appearing online and now, the OnePlus 9 Pro has been spotted on the benchmarking website, Geekbench, giving us a clue as to which ones they might be the phone internals like.

Geekbench’s listing reveals interesting details about the device, with the OnePlus 9 Pro proving to have achieved a single-core score of 1,122 and 2,733 in the multi-core test. The benchmark list also shows that the OnePlus 9 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor.

The chipset proved to be paired with 8GB of RAM. However, this is likely for the entry-level variant, with OnePlus mostly coming out with phones with up to 12GB of RAM. Additionally, the listing also reveals that this setup will be paired with the latest Android 11 OS out of the box.

Aside from that, we know little about the phone. However, there have been leaks that have spoken about the specs of the device. Reports say the phone will have a 144Hz display and will come with a design that will feature an IP68 certified body. In addition to this, there will be NFC support and the presence of dual stereo speakers.

There will be a punch-hole display as mentioned above and the phone will use OnePlus’ 65W fast wired charging solution to recharge the battery. In addition, there will also be 40W wireless charging technologies.

The battery size may be larger on the OnePlus 9 as the company has continued to increase it from OnePlus 8. The OnePlus 8 smartphone model boasts a 4300mAh battery, OnePlus 8 Pro has a 4510mAh battery, and the OnePlus 8T comes with one 4500mAh battery. Therefore, the battery capacity of OnePlus 9 may be larger than OnePlus 8 series phones.

More details about the phone and its sibling, OnePlus 9, are expected to be disclosed in the coming weeks as the phone approaches launch. For now, however, we can only wait and watch to see what is revealed on the phones.
