OnePlus recently unveiled its latest smartphone, OnePlus 8T. The phone offers powerful hardware and pairs it with cool features to give users a flagship experience. Now, to enhance this experience, the company has started rolling out the first OS update for the device which interestingly adds new functionality and brings optimizations for existing ones.
According to reports, the first OxygenOS update for OnePlus 8T adds the new Canvas AOD feature to the phone. First spotted late last month in the second beta of OxygenOS 11 for the OnePlus 8 series, these new features bring more personalization to the phone’s AOD by adding the option of a wireframe sketch of the device’s lock screen wallpaper. . Reports suggest that this feature, for now, is currently in beta and can be found in the wallpaper settings.
Along with this, the update to the Oxygen 11 OS also brings optimizations to improve the unlock experience for Ambient Display, power consumption, night landscape mode for video, white balance accuracy and also improves the stability of the camera app. .
To remind our readers, the OnePlus 8T comes with a 6.55-inch display with support for a high resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 402ppi. The 20: 9 aspect ratio phone is also capable of running at a high refresh rate of 120Hz.
Under the hood, we have the trusty Snapdragon 865 SoC which has been paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
