OnePlus 8 price cut after OnePlus 8T launch, here are new prices for both variants

OnePlus 8 prices in India reportedly dropped after OnePlus 8T just launched at yesterday’s event. It makes sense to cut the price of an old OnePlus 8 to boost sales ahead of the holiday season, especially as Amazon is preparing to kick off the business extravaganza as part of the Great Indian Festival sales. OnePlus 8 launched in June, bringing near-new hardware and the popular OxygenOS 11.

OnePlus 8 latest price in India

According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the OnePlus 8 version 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage now costs Rs 41,999. This is Rs 3,000 less from the introductory price of Rs 44,999. The price of the 12GB RAM and 256GB OnePlus 8 version has dropped to Rs 44,999, which is a direct cut of Rs 5,000 from the previous price of Rs 49,999.

The revised prices aren’t appearing anywhere yet, neither on Amazon nor on the OnePlus online store. But this discount may be available for customers who buy OnePlus 8 offline.

The OnePlus 8’s drop in price makes this reasonable value for money even better. So now you get more RAM and storage for the price of the 6GB RAM and 128GB version. For the price of the 8GB RAM and 128GB version, you get the 12GB version. You are clearly getting a better deal here with the new prices. The rest of the hardware on the OnePlus 8 is the same on all variants.

OnePlus 8 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. There is a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 90 Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 402 PPI. There is also a built-in fingerprint sensor below the display. It works with OxygenOS based on Android 10 but the latest version of Android 11 is available. OnePlus 8 is backed by a 4300mAh battery with Warp Charge 30.

For photography, the OnePlus 8 is equipped with a 48MP main camera, accompanied by a 16MP camera and a 2MP camera. For selfies, a 16MP front camera is available. The front camera is housed inside a hole in the display.

OnePlus 8 launched in June for Rs 44,999 for the 8GB RAM version, but now that price has dropped.

  • The price of the OnePlus 8’s 8GB RAM has been reduced by Rs 3,000.
  • The 12GB RAM version of OnePlus 8 also saw a drop in prices.
