On iOS, WhatsApp is releasing a new user interface for contacts and groups

The profile section now looks a lot like a WhatsApp Business profile with a large, rounded profile image. Along with iOS-like options to message, call or share. This upgrade isn’t just limited to user profiles but also groups. The new layout truly emphasises several elements of the profile of WhatsApp users — something the previous profile layout couldn’t — whether it’s with a large profile image instead of a small circular cutout that it otherwise showed, or the clearly laid-out info and calling tabs.

For iPhone users, WhatsApp is getting a new look. According to a new WABetaInfo report, the patch will modify the way the messaging app’s UI looks for contact and group information. Soon, you’ll be able to respond to each WhatsApp message with an emoji. WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.6.0.74 has received the update. The functionality was also seen on some stable users, according to the report. In a few days, the feature should be available to all iOS users.

Highlights
