Nokia’s Android 11 timeline has received concrete announcements from HMD Global. The Finnish company has announced that the first device to have Android 11 will be the Nokia 8.3 5G. The launch will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, which is between October and December. There will be three more devices joining the Nokia 8.3 5G to receive Android 11: Nokia 5.3, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 2.2.

In a press release, HMD Global noted that 94% of Nokia’s smartphone portfolio has been updated to the latest version of Android within a year of the new Android release, citing data from research firm Counterpoint. Besides the Nokia 8.3 5G, the Nokia 5.3 will receive the Android 11 in the same period, while the Nokia 2.2 and the Nokia 8.1 will receive it a little later.
