Nokia 8000 4G is happening. A new poster has leaked online showing the upcoming Nokia feature phone in its entirety. Which brings us to the big question: Does the Nokia 8000 4G have the same old swipe keyboard? Sorry to tell you but the feature phone won’t bring back that sliding keyboard. HMD Global keeps the overall design but without that X factor. The Nokia 8000 4G specs are out too.
The Nokia 8000 4G still has a premium design with a glossy edge all around. But it looks like those Nokia 200 series and Nokia 100 series devices. The body looks like it’s made of glass but it definitely isn’t, considering the type of device it will be. There is a T9 keyboard on the device, a headset on top, and a USB-C port on the bottom, as seen in the shared Winfuture poster.
HMD Global’s next feature phone, Nokia 8000 4G, will come with KaiOS software. This is the most popular operating system for feature phones that powers Jio Phone, also. This also means that the Nokia 8000 4G will support WhatsApp, YouTube, and some other Google apps. The phone will also be equipped with the Wi-Fi hotspot feature to allow you to share your 4G connection. The Nokia 8000 4G will also come with support for two SIM cards, in addition to the single SIM card variant.
As for the specifications, the Nokia 8000 4G will be equipped with 2.8-inch LCD with a resolution of 240 × 320 pixels. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard memory. There is a microSD card for expandable storage. This processor is more capable than the Snapdragon 205 chipset that powers the Nokia 8110 4G. The Nokia 8000 4G will be supported by a 1500mAh battery which can be replaced.
You will also find a 2MP rear camera on the Nokia 8000 4G. The camera specs make the device a budget device, which completely faces the kind of market that the Nokia 8800 was serving in the 2000s. And of course, there won’t be a front camera on the Nokia 8000 4G.
HMD Global is said to be working on Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4G phones which will be upgraded to the 2000s Nokia 6300 Classic and Nokia 8800 phones. The main difference will be smart features and support for 4G connectivity on the newer models which will be launched soon.
HMD Global is allegedly working on two new phones which are a throwback to the Nokia 6300 and Nokia 8800 from the 2000s.
