Nokia 2.3 – All You Need To Know About

Nokia has launched another budget smartphone, Nokia 2.3. With a bigger battery and MediaTek as its processing unit, Nokia 2.3 is another durable and high performing smartphone by Nokia. Nokia 2.2 also was a good smartphone at its pricing and it’s time for the Nokia 2.3. The smartphone is not yet available in India, but we can expect it to be available from mid-December. Nokia says the smartphone is Android 10 ready, but comes in Android 9 and will be updated later. Nokia 2.3 can give battery life up to 2 days, so it can be a better pick for those with a busy day schedule. Let’s quickly jump into the specifications and pricing.

As we know, Nokia had always provided high built quality and good design for its smartphones. The rear has two cameras in the middle portion with clean and round edges. We don’t expect the smartphone to have any protection on glass, because of its low budget. With a 6.2 inches display, the body is plastic but framed with aluminum. The display has a dew-drop notch with the front camera in it. Much information is not available yet about the Nokia 2.3.

The smartphone has an HD+ display of 6.2 inches. The display delivers a resolution of 720 X 1520 pixels. The pixel density of the display is not available yet but it has an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display is specially designed for efficient battery usage. Nothing more on display, it seems like Nokia is not comfortable with sharing its specifications clearly to the users.

Coming to the cameras, it has two rear cameras of 13 MP and a 2 MP camera for depth sensing, with multiple portrait and bokeh mode. HMD Global is also touting a Recommended Shot feature that takes 15 images before and after shutter press and then selects the best shot. Well, that’s something new and cool! Nokia 2.3 offers a front camera of 5 MP. Video recording rates are also not available yet.

memory & processing

The responsibility of processing is given to the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. Nokia for some years is interested in doing business with MediaTek either than Snapdragon. The better performing processor is accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 32GB ROM, expandable up to 400GB. Coming to the RAM they could have done more, but for some unknown reasons, Nokia 2.3 only has 2GB of RAM.

battery & charging

Here’s where Nokia 2.3 is better than other smartphones at this pricing. It has a big battery of 4000mAh. But there is also a thing that is keeping it behind other smartphones, that is its 5W charger. The big battery with all necessary sensors, is charged by a small charger. This may take more than 2 hours to charge. But it also gives 2 days of battery life.
