Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II mirrorless cameras launched with dual memory card slots

Nikon has updated its Z series of mirrorless cameras quite frequently. The Japanese camera maker launched the Nikon Z5 in July of this year. The company now adds two new full-frame mirrorless cameras, the Nikon Z6 II and Nikon Z7 II, to its Z-series camera portfolio. Unlike an entry-level Nikon Z5, the latest Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II they are aimed at professional photographers and directors.

The new Nikon Z6 II and Nikon Z7 II are incremental upgrades over the existing Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7 camera models that were launched in 2018. Now, two years later, the new Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II cameras come with enhancements such as 4K / 60p video capture, dual memory card slots and more.

Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II pack two EXPEED 6 image processors, 4K video recording up to 60 fps, maximum burst of 14 fps in the Nikon Z6 II and maximum burst of 10 fps in the Nikon Z7 II. The dual memory card slot is another highly requested feature by the camera users. Both of the latest Nikon Z-series cameras have an XQD / CFexpress card slot and a UHS-II SD card slot. Other features include improved autofocus with extended eye detection and animal detection.

Speaking of the design and appearance of the new cameras, Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II have the nature of Nikon Z6 and Z7 camera models. Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II equip the same 24.5 megapixel and 45.7 megapixel BSI CMOS image sensors as the Nikon Z6 and Z7 respectively. Once again, the Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II feature the same EVF resolution and variable angle LCD panel. Both the Z6 II and Z7 II are waterproof cameras.

The latest Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II are compatible with the Nikon Webcam Utility software beta. When using this feature with a USB-C cable, you can supply power to the camera to power it while using it as a webcam.

Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II are launched for the global market. The latest Z series mirrorless cameras can be pre-ordered in the US, UK and Canada. Shipping is expected to begin later this year. As for the price and availability of Nikon Z6 II and Nikon Z7 II in India, it is still unknown. Although camera users can expect the launch in another 2 to 3 months in the country.
