It’s no secret that Redmi is working on the new Note 9 series smartphones. Over the past few weeks, we’ve had a number of leaks revealing key details about upcoming phones, and now the latest has revealed the display specs of the most premium of the list.

Coming courtesy of the popular tipster, Digital Chat Station once again, this new leak indicates the presence of a premium variant of the Note 9 with support for 120Hz refresh rate. The report suggests that just like the Mi 10T Pro, this device will have AdaptiveSync for its display and will therefore be able to dynamically update to modes of 30, 48, 50, 60 or 90Hz or even 120Hz depending on the content being played.

This will essentially be very similar to the feature found on the flagship Mi 10T Pro which also supports an adaptive display that can update to 7 different steps including the ones mentioned above and a faster 144Hz.

Speaking of the new Note 9, the tipster also revealed other details about the device, with the phone said to carry a typical brightness of 450 nits, as well as third-generation Sunlight and Reading modes. The phone’s display is also said to be covered with a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Furthermore, the report also suggests that the phone may have a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels. This display is also rumored to be a DotDisplay, which essentially means there will be a hole on the front for the selfie camera.

On top of that, the leak also reveals that the device will have a 4,800mAh battery pack. While it doesn’t say anything, it also looks like this will be the device that could get the 108-megapixel camera that the tipster previously teased for one of the Redmi Note 9 models.

If these specs really became a reality, it would represent a huge leap forward for the Redmi Note series which until now has focused on bringing great value phones with impressive specs, which are barely lower than those found on phones. peak.

However, lined with a VRR (virtual refresh rate) display and a huge 108 megapixel camera, this new Redmi Note series phone will look very much like a flagship and could therefore be priced accordingly. However, there is also the possibility that Redmi could do something special and be able to price the phone aggressively while saving costs on the design and other internals of the device, including its chipset. More information on this will be known in the coming days and weeks.
