The Redmi Note 9 series is expected to receive new phones, with the latest reports now stating that one of these new phones will feature a display with support for a fast refresh rate.
This information is provided courtesy of a well-known whistleblower, Digital Chat Station on Weibo, who said the cheapest device on the list of new phones would feature a punch-hole-punch display in the upper left corner of the phone. display to accommodate the selfie camera. However, what’s more interesting is that this display would also support high refresh rates. While the tipster didn’t say much about this particular device, it did reveal some information about the other devices that may have launched alongside it in the past.
Previously, the same tipster had claimed that Redmi will launch a total of three new phones under the Redmi Note 9 line with one of them equipped with a 108-megapixel camera sensor. According to the information he shared, this phone will sport Samsung’s new ISOCELL HM2 sensor launched earlier this year. This particular sensor has a pixel size of 0.7 micrometers and a 108 megapixel lens.
If this information comes true, this phone will be the first Redmi phone to launch with a 108 megapixel sensor. As it stands, Xiaomi has a number of new phones sporting the 108-megapixel sensor, but there aren’t any under the Redmi brand that flaunt this lens.
Other than that, little information is available on these devices. There is also no information on these devices coming to India, however, as the hint for them came from China, it is safe to assume that they will launch in China first and then make their way to other markets in the coming months.
Another interesting thing to note is that if Redmi actually launches three new Note 9 series phones in the coming weeks, it could very well mean that it has rejected the launch plans of the Redmi Note 10.
In the past, reports have stated that the company is working on the Redmi Note 10 series which could prove to be a big upgrade over its predecessor and bring some really impressive specs with it. Reports have stated that the phone will be available in two variants, with the high-end variant of the Redmi Note 10 equipped with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 750G processor. The leaks also say the phone will be equipped with a 108-megapixel primary sensor and a 4800mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
