Tech News: Motorola Edge S surfaced in live images and AnTuTu listing.
Motorola is ready to present its Edge S with Snapdragon 870 on January 26th. Just before next week’s announcement, live images of the device surfaced on Weibo, while an official AnTuTu test shared by Lenovo’s Chinese GM Chen Jin gives us an insight into the performance of the new chipset.
The images show a tall display with double-hole cutouts and interestingly enough, the device is recognized as the Motorola Edge + which was last year’s Moto flagship. We can see that the rear houses a square camera cutout with four foreground modules with a 64MP main camera.
Next we have the phone’s AnTuTu scoreboard which revealed a combined score of 679,860 points. Keep in mind that this is still a prototype device, but still these numbers are quite impressive.
A quick comparison to December’s AnTuTu ranking reveals that the Moto Edge S would slip ahead of Snapdragon 865-equipped phones like the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra and iQOO 5 series. The Edge S managed 189,694 in the CPU test, 290,268 in the GPU department. , 103,322 in the memory test and 96,576 in the UX benchmark.
