LUBBOCK, Texas – Houston Baptist batters had no chance against Patrick Monteverde on Saturday.
Texas Tech’s ace pitched seven goalless innings and knocked out nine batters as the Red Raiders beat the Huskies 8-1. With the win, the TTU improved to 2-3 in the season.
It took a few innings for Red Raider’s attack to materialize, but they managed to get past with three runs in the fourth inning. A Kurt Wilson single-plated by Nate Rombach and two points scored on a double by Cody Masters.
