The Tigers took the first round of their series on Friday against Georgia, winning 25-23, 25-17, 25-17 in three games.
Game 1 was a back and forth match, the score was drawn 11 times with two changes of lead. After Georgia tied the score at 22, a trio of Bulldogs’ mistakes ended the game for Missouri.
After a nail-eater of a first game, the remaining two were comfortable enough for the Tigers, pulling away the trait in each.
Kylie Deberg was the star as usual for Missouri, recording 14 kills in the night. Andrea Fuentes was the one who scored the shots Deberg and company landed, collecting 31 assists.
Claudia Dillon and Anna Dixon were among other collaborators. Dillon led the team with five total blocks and had pair of aces. Dixon had eight kills off the bench.
Round two of the series comes on Saturday at 6pm
