INEZ, Ky. (WYMT) – Martin County’s Lauren Horn announced their commitment to UPIKE volleyball on Tuesday. Horn was an integral part of both Martin County and its Bluegrass Volleyball Academy travel team. A late flowering with the game of volleyball, Horn says she couldn’t do it without the people who helped her learn the ropes quickly.
“I started a little late playing volleyball. I started in eighth grade and Jordyn Harless was actually my first volleyball coach. It has helped me a lot over the past four years. It’s really her who shaped me to be the player I am today alongside Kayla VanHoose, “said Horn.” She’s helped me tremendously in the last two seasons I’ve played with her on my club team, and I’m so grateful for they and they helped me so much to become the player I am today. “
Horn led Martin County in 2020 with 160 kills.
