Business News: Kia Motors introduces refreshed Seltos, Sonet.
Kia India has launched the updated versions of Seltos and Sone in India. The two cars will now have steering wheel controls. In addition, the company also announced the debut of the revolutionary iMT technology on the revamped Seltos, which will be the first in its segment and will be available in the 1.5 Petrol HTK + variant. Given market demand, Kia India also introduced another premium variant on the revamped Seltos: the 1.4T-GDI Petrol GTX (O). In the case of the updated Sonet, the more popular HTX trim will now be available with automatic options: HTX 7DCT (1.0T-GDI Petrol) and HTX 6AT (1.5 Diesel).
The company introduced the refurbished Seltos and Sonet at a starting price of Rs 9.95,000 (former showroom, pan-India) and Rs 6,79,000 (former showroom, pan-India) respectively.
One of the highlights of the updated editions of Seltos and Sonet is the introduction of ‘Paddle Shifters’, which will now be available in GTX + 1.5D 6AT and 1.4T-GDI 7DCT variants in the updated Seltos, and fully automatic variants in the updated Sonet .
After the successful launch of iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) in Sonet and recognizing its very high market acceptance, the company has decided to expand the availability of this new age technology also on Seltos. Now, the refurbished Seltos will feature the segment’s first iMT and will be available in the 1.5 Petrol HTK + variant. The iMT variant of the revamped Seltos now comes with a sunroof; The beige and black interior and the fully automatic air conditioner with silver decorations add modernity to its interior and give it a luxurious look.
The updated edition of Seltos has been updated with 17 new enhancements such as the segment’s first Smart Pure air purifier with virus and bacteria protection, remote engine start in manual transmission, wireless Phone projection, over-the-air map update (OTA) and additional voice commands on the UVO connected car system, among others.
In terms of safety, the car now gets the functions of Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Climb Assist Control (HAC) for the lower variants .
The updated Sonet edition has been updated with 10 new enhancements such as the segment’s first rear door sunblinds, the segment’s first voice command for open and close sunroof. To underline the company’s commitment to safety, it has now introduced features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), uphill assistance (HAC) in the lower variants.
Apart from This, there are multiple high-end features such as Multi drive and traction mode which gives customers a chance to unleash their enthusiastic side. To meet the needs of style and practicality, an electric sunroof, a smart key with push button start, remote engine start, chrome door handles and crystal-cut alloys with silver wheel covers have now been extended to the lower variants.
