    JioPhone price likely to be increased soon, will cost Rs 999

    Reliance Jio is likely to raise the price of JioPhone by Rs 300. The new JioPhone will cost Rs 999, according to an online report. The feature phone will also be sold with a mandatory refill pack of Rs 125, sources familiar with the matter told 91 cell phones. Therefore, the total cost of the feature phone will be Rs 1124. The Rs 125 JioPhone all-in-one plan offers free calls from JioPhone to any Jio number along with 500 offline minutes and 14GB of data for one month.

    According to the report, the new JioPhone units will be powered by Qualcomm’s chipset. The telco will make an official announcement in the coming days. Currently, JioPhone is priced at Rs 699. The price has remained the same since Jio presented the offer at Diwali 2019. As part of the offer, Reliance has removed the security deposit of Rs 1500 from the phone.

    Users had to buy a refill of Rs 99 with the original cost of the phone costing Rs 699. The telecom company also said it would return Rs 299 if customers returned the phone within three years. Customers also received Rs 99 data packets for top-ups. With the potential price hike, it’s unclear whether Jio will keep all offerings for the feature phone.

    JioPhone Rs 1001 plan: This all-in-one JioPhone plan offers 49GB of 4G data with a daily data limit of 150MB. The plan offers unlimited calls from Jio to Jio with a FUP limit of 12000 minutes for non-Jio numbers and 100 free SMS. The validity of this plan is 336 days.

    JioPhone Rs 1301 plan: This all-in-one JioPhone plan offers 164GB of data in 4G with a daily limit of 500MB. The plan offers unlimited calls from Jio to Jio with a FUP limit of 12000 minutes for non-Jio numbers and 100 free SMS. The validity of this plan is 336 days.

    JioPhone Rs 1501 plan: This all-in-one JioPhone plan provides 1.5GB of data per day, for a total of 504GB of data spread over 336 days. The plan offers unlimited calls from Jio to Jio with a FUP limit of 12000 minutes for non-Jio numbers and 100 free SMS. The validity of this plan is 336 days.

    JioPhone has four 28-day all-in-one plans priced at Rs 75, Rs 125, Rs 155 and Rs 185. Jio offers separately 28-day plans for JioPhone users priced at Rs 153 with voucher IUC top-up is priced between Rs 10 and Rs 1000. Jio notes that for every 10 rupees his user spends on off-net calls, he provides 1GB without data. These plans provide 1.5GB of data per day.
