iPhone SE 2020 gets price cut in India after iPhone 12 launch

After a long wait, the iPhone Apple’s flagship for 2020 have finally arrived. At its Hi, Speed ​​event, the Cupertino tech giant launched four new ones iPhone in the form of iPhone 12 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. While all new iPhone brilliants offer a lot to appreciate, it is undoubtedly the modest iPhone 12 mini which is the coolest of the lot.

The new iPhone 12 mini offers the same powerful performance and nearly the same rich feature set as its larger siblings, however, it does so while remaining compact in design and affordable too. But starting at Rs 69,900 in India and lined with a 5.4-inch display, the phone also creates some problems for Apple’s small-screen smartphone, the iPhone SE 2020.

To create some distance between the two, Apple has now announced a significant price drop on the latter, with the extension iPhone SE now starting at Rs 39,990 for the 64GB variant and up to Rs 44,990 for the 128GB variant. The 256GB of the device will be closest to the iPhone 12 mini, priced at Rs 54,990. The phones can also be purchased for a slightly lower price from e-commerce platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon. Currently, Flipkart lists files iPhone SE 2020 at a starting price of Rs 37,900 for its entry-level variant.

For the price, the iPhone SE 2020 offers powerful specs, including the company’s previous flagship chipset, the A13 Bionic SoC. Outside, the new iPhone features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, paired with Touch ID.

The display promises support for a wide color gamut and extension iPhone SE 2020 uses Haptic Touch for quick actions, like animating live photos, previewing messages, rearranging apps, and more, as well as context menus. The phone uses aerospace-grade aluminum and a durable glass design with an all-black front and is available in black, white, and red options. The iPhone SE 2020 is water and dust resistant with an IP67 rating for water resistance up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

The design also carries the iconic Home button, which Apple says was designed with sapphire crystal to be durable and to protect the sensor, and a steel ring to detect the user’s fingerprint for Touch ID.

Under the hood is the A13 Bionic chipset which comes with a dedicated 8-core neural engine capable of performing 5 trillion operations per second, two machine learning accelerators on the CPU and a machine learning controller to balance performance and efficiency. .

For cameras, the iPhone SE (2020) features a single camera with a large aperture 12-megapixel f / 1.8 camera and uses A13 Bionic’s image signal processor and neural engine for computational photography to handle Portrait mode shots and six effects Portrait Lighting and Depth Control. There’s also support for Smart HDR which adjusts recognized subjects into a more natural looking picture frame with better highlight and shadow detail. iPhone SE 2020 also brings portrait shots to the front camera.

The phone’s rear camera also supports 4K video capture at up to 60fps and extended dynamic range for more highlighted details up to 30fps. Apple revealed that users can also “take advantage of QuickTake video on the front and rear cameras, enabling video recording without having to exit Photo mode.”
