iPhone 12 unlikely to get new Touch ID seen in iPad Air

The iPhone 12 will arrive soon, along with other phones in the series. And one of the features that were rumored about iPhone 12 is the new Touch ID we recently saw in the iPad Air. After all, ever since Apple put Face ID into its phones, it has gotten rid of Touch ID. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max does not have Touch ID. Instead they have edge-to-edge screens and Face ID. Now, the rumors suggest that the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max will come with Touch ID. But it is unlikely.

The reason why the new Touch ID, which uses a sensor hidden in the thin power button like what we see in the new iPad Air, is unlikely to enter the iPhone it’s because Apple probably didn’t design it for the new iPhone. The development cycle of iPhone is around 18 months old, so unless Apple started planning the new Touch ID about two years ago, it’s not like having it in the iPhone.

And it’s unlikely that Apple has started planning a new Touch ID in iPhone at the same time he removed the feature and replaced it with Face ID.

The reality is that for the iPhone, which is a smaller device and is almost always used as a portable device unlike the iPad, which can be used on its back or while held on the table, Apple has always planned to switch to Face ID. The Face ID is the present and the future for iPhone.

It is also a good enough present and a good future. That is, if the coronavirus and the spread of COVID-19 are discarded.

Nobody planned the coronavirus. Not even Apple. So when the world started wearing masks, Face ID in the iPhone it became cumbersome to use. In fact, while you are wearing the mask you cannot use it. This is what is fueling the rumor that the iPhone 12 could see the return of Touch ID.

It will also be welcome. Nowadays, a Touch ID on a phone is more useful and convenient than Face ID which tries to make sense of someone while the person is wearing a mask. But the coronavirus hit the world only in January. Several months are not enough for any company, even if that company is Apple, to make a restyling of its most important device.

If we ever see a iPhone with Touch ID, it will be a miracle. It is likely that the iPhone 12 will come with Face ID.

Now, there is another iPad Air feature that is bound to be a part of iPhone 12 series phones. This is the A14 Bionic processor. It is certain that the iPhone The 12 series phones will be powered by the Apple A14 Bionic processor.

iPhone 12 is coming soon, and many people expect it to come with the unique Touch ID seen in the new iPad Air. This is not likely to happen.
