Indianbaseball season preview: Seasoned Hoosiers ready to compete for Big Ten title

The 2020 Indiana Baseball season was abruptly ended last March. Almost a year after Cream and Crimson last took the diamond, the Hoosiers begin their 2021 season on Friday.

IU will play a 44 games, Big Ten only starting with two games each against Rutgers and Minnesota this weekend indoors at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. There will be no Big Ten tournament, which means that the NCAA tournament auto bid will be awarded to the regular season conference champion. The Hoosiers have the experience and throwing talent to defend their 2019 Big Ten title.

The Hoosiers’ Hitters: Experience at the Top, Questions In the Back

IU returns two of its top three hitters in the lineup in outfield Grant Richardson and inside Cole Barr. Winger Elijah Dunham signed with the New York Yankees last year and forfeited the rest of his suitability.
