In the US, unlocked Galaxy S21 phones receive the update to Android 12

If you are a Galaxy S21 series smartphone user in the US, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it manually (but not before backing up all your important data).

Samsung recently launched the Android 12 upgrade for the Galaxy S21 series’ international and US carrier-locked models. In the United States, unlocked variants of the smartphones are now receiving the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update. AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Sprint, Tracfone, and Xfinity Mobile are among the carriers that have received the update. The firmware version G99xU1UEU4BUK7 comes with this important Android OS upgrade for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The update also includes the November 2021 security patch, in addition to One UI 4.0.
