(KNSI) – More More than 100 St. Cloud companies are receiving $ 10,000 grants through the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development’s small business grant program to keep those companies afloat during the pandemic.
Of the 101 St. Cloud companies that receive grants, 68 are micro-enterprises with six or fewer employees. Women own 32 of the 101 businesses and 38 are owned by BIPOC. Six are owned by veterans.
A wide variety of companies receive grants, from gyms like Burn and Build Fitness to gift shops like Copper Pony and from restaurants like Mexican Village to body art companies like Wingnut Tattoo and Piercing.
