Huawei, it is the brand that provides high performing smartphones with high built quality. At a comparatively less price you’ll get a better smartphone than some of the other brands. After the huge success of Huawei Nova 5, the brand has a new smartphone Huawei Nova 6. If you had used the Nova 5 then you’ll probably have a hype for seeing the Huawei Nova 6, or even use it. Huawei Nova 6 is a 5G smartphone with amazing cameras and the powerful Kirin Processing units. With all these, the smartphone becomes future-ready. Let’s have a look at the specifications of the Huawei Nova 6.
Coming to the design, Nova 6 has a punch-hole display, with an aluminum frame covering it. With the 6.44 inches display, it has a tiny chin. Amazing fact about it is that Nova 6 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Huawei decided to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, making it easier to operate. It has four rear cameras and two front cameras in the punch-hole on the display. As it won’t have a notch or any space on the top, you might not find a notification light on it. Any information about the protection on the display has not been officially announced. The amazing smartphone is available in Black, Blue, and Orange.
Nova 6 has a 6.44 inches IPS LCD. The protection on the display is not yet revealed by Huawei. We even don’t know if it has a protection on the display. The big display delivers a resolution of 2400 X 1800 pixels with ~409 PPI of pixel density. The punch-hole display has two cameras on the punch-hole. And the notifications you receive will pop out of the punch-hole on the display, making it cooler to use.
Huawei always was one step ahead when it comes to camera performance. But for quite some years, their camera quality became to degrade. Hopefully, Huawei has made its place in the top tiers for camera performance, again. The Nova 6 is also such an example of great camera quality from Huawei. The smartphone has four rear cameras and two front cameras. The four rear cameras are of;
- 60 MP, f/1.7, (wide), PDAF, OIS.
- 16 MP, f/2.2, 14mm for ultrawide.
- 2 MP, f/2.2, 1/5″, 1.75µm is a dedicated macro camera.
- 2 MP, f/2.2, 1/5″, 1.75µm, for depth sensing.
The rear cameras along with Panorama, HDR, Gyro-EIS and LED Flash also can record videos at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30fps and 720p@60fps.
The front cameras located at the punch-hole are of;
- 32 MP, f/2.0, for wide-angle shots.
- 8 MP, f/2.2, 17mm for ultrawide-angle shots.
The front cameras can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps.

The Huawei Nova 6 is powered by the powerful HiSilicon Kirin 990. The 7nm processor is a good performer and power efficient. The smartphone runs so smooth with Android 10 and EMUI 10, which is specially designed to compete with the Android OS in case of speed for further plans by Huawei. The Octacore CPU consists of 2×2.86 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2×2.09 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4×1.86 GHz Cortex-A55. In spite of the processor, the GPU is a little bit weak but meets the users’ needs. It has Mali-G76 MP16. Made for high performing multiprocessing and gaming, Huawei Nova 6 is the ideal smartphone at the pricing range it asks.
Coming to the memory Huawei Nova 6 has two forms; 8GB RAM with 128GB ROM & 8GB RAM with 256GB ROM. Both the variants don’t have any SD-Card slot for further storage expansion.
