Google Pay removed from Apple App Store, reason not clear yet

In a shocking twist of events, Google Pay is no longer available for download on the Apple App Store. The app is no longer visible on the app store and users are greeted with Paytm, PhonePe while searching the app on the app store. However, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened, Paytm was also removed from the Google Play Store a few weeks ago.

As with Google, the app was removed from the App Store to fix an issue. The problem was only identified on the iOS version of the app, it does not affect Android users in any way.

“A small number of Apple iOS users may experience persistent payment errors on their transactions. Our teams are working to resolve this as soon as possible. In the meantime, affected users can contact Google Pay support via the app for assistance. . We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our users, “a Google spokesperson told Gadgets 360 in a statement.

The spokesperson said that once the problem is fixed, users will receive an updated version of Google Pay on the App Store.

When you search for Google Pay on the App Store, you get all the other options like PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM but not Google Pay. However, if you still have the app, you can use it to make payments and receive money. The app is available on the Google Play Store.
