Former Goldman Sachs banker Richard Sharp will chair the BBC, the UK government says

LONDON (Reuters) – The UK government said Wednesday that Richard Sharp, a former Goldman Sachs banker, had been selected as the BBC’s preferred presidential candidate.

Sharp is expected to take office at the end of David Clementi’s term in February, the government said.
