The game will be playable both solo or co-op, with a variety of both story missions and world activities just like its console brothers. There’ll be brand new characters to meet, alongside powerful enemies with their own abilities you’ll have to deal with. Naturally, you’ll be able to customise your characters by collecting and upgrading your gear too.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, a new mobile instalment in the third-person shooter series, has been introduced by Ubisoft. The Division’s New York will serve as the setting for this RPG shooter offshoot. The free-to-play game will have its own plot while providing a “distinct viewpoint” on what happened in the earlier games. Ubisoft promises a sizable open environment that players will be free to explore while still being optimised for mobile devices.

Highlights

  • There isn’t a specific release date for Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence just yet. However, there will be a Closed Alpha that Ubisoft claim is “just around the corner”. If you want to get in on that, you can sign up for testing here. The game itself is set to release for iOS and Android later this year.

  • Along the way, you’ll level up your operative, and unlock new specialisations with unique gadgets and weapons. These can be swapped at any time, which the team are hoping will let you change tactics to best suit the make up of your co-op squads. You can check out a trailer for the game for yourself down below.
