MacDailyNews Take: Apple CEO Tim Cook said during the Q322 earnings call last week, “We set a June quarter record for both revenue and switchers to iPhone. With its advanced performance, capability and ease of use, customers continue to find that iPhone remains the gold standard for smartphones.”

Apple unveiled a new film on Monday that is aimed at Android users who want to switch to a real iPhone. For Android users, Apple releases a new “Switching to iPhone” video. The video runs over common queries that switchers might have, including exchanging, long-term updates, transferring contacts, photographs, and messages, and more. It also discusses the iPhone’s longevity, including its water resistance, battery life, iOS operating system dependability, security, and data privacy safeguards.

Highlights

  • Danielle Mathias was first unaware that anything was wrong. But a few of weeks ago, following a night out in Washington, D.C., a curious notice appeared on her phone, alerting her that someone was using Apple’s Find My app to track her location, apparently using a set of AirPod headphones. AirPods were not worn by Mathias. But after reading Twitter discussions describing related incidents, she started to believe that someone might have been utilising an alternative Apple product.

  • Apple CFO Luca Maestri added, “The latest survey of U.S. consumers from 451 Research indicates iPhone customer satisfaction of 98%. We also attracted a record number of switchers for the June quarter, with strong double-digit year-over-year growth.” Please help support MacDailyNews.
