Highlights

  • Collecting walnuts is an annual tradition for Nora, her grandmother and her cousins.

  • Nora Beachner collected 2,000 pounds of walnuts and in turn, sold them for $400. She made the decision to donate the money to CMH, making her champion of the year.

Her efforts to support other CMH kids like herself received a major boost when Freeman “matched” her donation, adding $20,000 in Nora’s name to the CMH Foundation.

Nora has been a CMN kid since she was born with precocious puberty. This condition causes a child to begin changing into an adult too soon. She travels twice a year to Dallas, Texas, to see specialists, and CMN helps her family with expenses.

The money donated will provide medical assistance to children from birth to 21 years of age in a 14-county area in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma

Nora presented her check today with Freeman President Paula Baker.
