(Reuters) – French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire on Friday expressed strong opposition to Canadian Alimentation Couche-Tard’s proposed takeover of retailer Carrefour.
On Wednesday, the Quebec-based convenience store operator said it had filed a non-binding offer of € 20 per share which valued mainland Europe’s largest retailer at € 16.2 billion ($ 19.6 billion) .
