Social media sites Twitter is Facebook reported US President Donald Trump’s post in which he accused election theft. The final election results haven’t come out but even earlier, Trump shouted foul on social media, he claimed the Democrats are trying to “steal” the election.
Trump accepted Twitter and wrote, “We’re up BIG, but they’re trying to STEAL the election. We will never let them do that. Votes cannot be cast after polls close! “
Twitter added a badge above the tweet that reads “some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and could be misleading about an election or other civic trial.” This means that the Tweet would not be visible and users will have to click on the warning box to view the tweet
The battle between Trump and Joe Biden gets intense with each passing minute, but the results have not yet come out. Major states including Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin continue to count votes.
“We put a warning on a Tweet from @realDonaldTrump for filing a potentially misleading statement about an election. This action is in line with our civic integrity policy.” Twitter he said in his defense. This is no secret Twitter and Trump has had a difficult past. In a separate post, Trump has already declared victory on social media and this was also reported by Facebook. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, leading by the latest vote count, called on his supporters to “keep the faith” and urged them to “be patient.” “We feel good about where we are. Biden had told his supporters that his hopes remain high despite the uncertainty and also warned them that it could take a day or more to know who won.
