Tech News: Everything you need to know about upcoming Apple Watch SE 2.
The Apple Watch SE was something slightly new for Apple, offering buyers an affordable price alternative to the Apple Look 6. As the name suggests, it was meant for wearable devices what the iPhone SE (2020) did it for phones and is largely successful. In fact, at the time of writing, it’s at the top of our list of the best smartwatches, so we’re excited to see the Apple Look at SE 2.
However, we don’t know for sure if Apple is also working on a new model, or whether it will be an annual release, as there has only been one so far. Assuming a Apple Watch IF 2 is in the works, we could see it later this year. Below are some predictions of when it might launch and how much it might cost, along with a list of improvements we’d like to see from it.
As new entries emerge, we will add them to this article as well. So check back regularly to stay up to date on the Apple Look at SE 2.
Price and release date
So far, there is no news on when the Apple Watch SE 2 might be launched, but the original Apple Watch SE was announced on September 15, 2020, so there’s a good chance the Apple Watch SE 2 will launch in September, probably alongside the iPhone 13 lineup and the Apple Look 7. On the other hand, ever since Apple he only launched one Apple Look at the SE model so far, there’s not much to work on, so there’s a chance the Apple Watch SE 2 won’t even be released this year.
There are no pricing rumors yet, but the original Apple Watch SE starts at $ 279, with prices rising for LTE, a larger size, or different band types. There is a good chance that the Apple The Watch SE 2 will have a similar starting price, but we can’t be sure at this point.
Always active display
The Apple Watch SE doesn’t have an always-on display, which is one of its major flaws compared to the Apple Look 6. That’s right, like Apple wanted to save some features for its premium wearable, but by the end of 2021, when the Apple Watch the launch of SE 2, we’d like the always-on display to be a standard feature across the range.
Better battery life
The Apple Watch SE actually has better battery life than most Apple Look at the models, but with around a day and a half, it still can’t keep up with many other wearables and isn’t really suitable for sleep tracking, as you’ll probably want to charge it at night. We would therefore like to see a longer duration of at least two days, ideally even three or more, for the Apple Look at SE 2.
Multiple color options
The Apple Watch SE is only available in gold, silver, and space gray, and while there’s nothing wrong with those colors, we’d like to see a larger selection for the Apple Look at the SE 2, including perhaps something more eye-catching, like the red color you can get Apple Watch 6 inches. You can get a lot more color from the strap, of course, as we’re just talking about the case here, but we’d still like to see more options.
Blood oxygen monitoring
In addition to the always-on display, the Apple Watch IF lacks another feature that the Apple Watch 6 has: blood oxygen monitoring. This is a useful health monitoring feature, but it’s probably not a big selling point for most people. While we’d love to see it, we wouldn’t mind too much if Apple kept this for premium models.
