Diablo Immortal players make up 50% of the total player base

However, one saving grace was the launch of Diablo Immortal in June, which increased Blizzard’s monthly users from 22 million at the end of March 2022 to 27 million now – one of the only increases in users Blizzard has seen across these quarters for a long time. There is one big curiosity that the results note for Diablo Immortal, which is that “over half of the game’s player accounts to date are new to Blizzard.” Given that players have had to sign in to their Blizzard accounts to access most of the developer’s games for over a decade, it seems that 50% of Diablo Immortal players haven’t played a Diablo game ever, so it’s their first experience with the series. With Diablo IV out next year, we’re sure Activision Blizzard hopes some of these players will make the leap over.

Half of Diablo Immortal players are new to Blizzard and have never played a Diablo RPG game, according to Activision Blizzard quarterly stats. The number of players for the online role-playing game Diablo Immortal has exploded past 30 million since its release in China. One startling finding from the most recent Activision Blizzard quarterly data is that half of Diablo Immortal players have never played a Diablo game before, which is credited with turning around player counts. Activision Blizzard has released its financial statistics for the second quarter of 2022, and they’re generally not great for the publisher. There are plans for content but no new Call of Duty game in 2023, and active monthly users are declining.

  • If you’re looking for an official Game of Thrones game then this is pretty much your only option on PC, and the fact that it’s a free online browser game doesn’t hurt either. You guide your very own lord on a path to greed and power on server map modeled after Westeros, complete with all the major landmarks you encounter in the novels and TV series. Your aim, as in an MMO strategy game, is to grow and accumulate wealth and power, taking over more and more land before you’re ready to launch an attack on a major stronghold like Storm’s End, The Eyrie, or King’s Landing.

  • In further Diablo Immortal news, one player found a secret room in the game – don’t worry, it’s not a church. Forge of Empires takes elements from the Civ and Age of Empires series and mixes them together to create one of the PC’s best free online games, no download required. You start off in the stone age with a few shabby huts and a couple of spearmen to prop up your humble enclave of humanity, and over many, many hours you’ll progress your people through several historical eras, researching new military, scientific, welfare, and cultural institutions. Combat and expansion play out in separate screens, offering a little more space for players to flex their tactical muscles.

Aside from being able to add famous faces from the franchise to your army like Arya Stark, Jon Snow, and Daenerys Targaryen, one of the game’s best features is its JRPG-inspired battle scenes, which offer the kind of cinematic flair and scale that’s often missing from free browser games.
