MILWAUKEE – Governor Tony Evers and the Department of Health Services (DHS) of Wisconsin announced Tuesday that there will be four additional community-based COVID-19 vaccinations sites.
Milwaukee is not on the list.
“There are a number of different mechanisms on how we can provide community-based vaccinations and so we are planning the conversations,” said Julie Willems Van Dijk, Deputy Secretary of DHS.
The city of Milwaukee said it is working closely with the state to introduce mobile vaccination sites starting Friday 5th March.
“Vaccination rates for African Americans and Hispanics are unacceptably low,” said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
