As you can see in the video, it’s a fast-paced multiplayer title in which you ride a big ol’ dragon into battle, fighting other riders in the skies with all kinds of flashy elemental attacks. Four classes all bring their own abilities to the battlefield, and there are four modes of play, including a scaly spin on Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Last Man Standing. The last mode is Spoils of War, in which you must gather gold from around the map while protecting your team’s hoard.
While Century: Age of Ashes has been mostly unnoticed, it has actually been accessible on other platforms for months. The above clip from game developer Playwing announces that on July 19, 2022, the free-to-play dragon battle game will finally be available on PS5 and PS4.
The launch will coincide with the arrival of Season 1, which adds the Stormraiser class, a new map, and a story “unfolding in 7 tomes”, whatever that means. It’s all free-to-play, so you’ve nothing to lose by giving it a try. From where we’re sitting, it looks pretty cool — we’ll certainly give it a shake. Will you be playing Century: Age of Ashes?
