    BSNL revises Rs 395 prepaid plan, withdraws five STVs

    Government-telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised its Rs 395 prepaid plan offering with an FUP limit of 3000 minutes for network calls and 1800 minutes for offline calls. Previously, the Rs 365 plan offered unlimited conversational benefits. Let’s take a detailed look at the STV 395:

    BSNL STV 395: BSNL offers 3000 free network minutes or calls made from BSNL to the BSNL network with STV Rs 395. This plan also offers 1800 minutes of offline calls. After the free minutes of the plans are met, telecoms charge 20 paise per minute from customers. BSNL also offers 2 GB of data per day with STV 395 and for a validity of 71 days. The plan is available in all environments except Mumbai and Delhi where MTNL provides telecommunication services. The development was first noticed by Telecom Talk.

    BSNL has withdrawn five STVs. These include STV 1498 which offered high-speed 91GB data valid for 365 days. Some other STVs that BSNL has retired are STV 13, STV 20, STV 93 and STV 111. The development was announced in a circular from BSNL Karnataka and was first noticed by Only Tech.

    BSNL STV 111 offered a usage value of Rs 90 along with 70 minutes of network calls. BSNL STV 93 offered free incoming calls, 120 minutes of free outgoing calls to any network plus 40 free SMS to any national roaming network. BSNL STV 13 offered 130 free local and national SMSs valid for 7 days while BSNL STV 20 offered 265 free local and national SMSs valid for 7 days.

    BSNL is also giving extended validity to the following prepaid plans until November 30:

    Prepaid plan Rs 147: This prepaid plan offer has an extended validity of five days. Previously, this plan was valid for 30 days. Now, for 35 days, this plan offers unlimited free voice calls with 250 minutes of FBD limit, unlimited free data with reduced speed to 80Kbps after 3GB of high speed data per day.

    Prepaid plan Rs 247: This prepaid plan offer has an extended validity of ten days. Previously, this plan was valid for 30 days. Now, this plan offers unlimited free voice calls with 250 minutes of FUP limit, unlimited free data with reduced speed to 80Kbps after 3GB of high speed data per day. The validity of this plan for the promotional period is 40 days.

    Prepaid plan Rs 699: The Rs 699 plan has an extended validity of 20 days. Previously this plan offered a 160-day validity with unlimited free voice calls with 250 minutes per day FBD, unlimited free data with reduced speed to 80Kbps post-consumption of 0.5GB of high-speed data per day. Now, the plan offers the same benefits for 180 days.

    Prepaid plan Rs 1999: The Rs 1999 plan is an annual plan coupon offering unlimited local calls and voice STDs with 250 minute FBD limit, 3GB high speed unlimited data followed by 80Kbps post FBD speed. 365 days, it has now been extended by 60 days and is valid for 425 days. All plans also include 100 free SMS, free PRBT and EROS Now entertainment services. BSNL also offers users a full refund on the payment of the first top-up via Paytm.

    BSNL added the FUP limit of 3000 minutes to the Rs 395 prepaid plan. Previously, the Rs 365 plan offered unlimited conversation benefits.
