Government-owned telecommunications company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised its Rs 777 plan. The plan, also dubbed the 500GB CUL plan, will be available to users until September 25 with the exception of Arunachal Pradesh, where it is available until September 24th. BSNL has also extended the availability of the 50GB CUL and 120GB CUL plans. Let’s take a look at these plans in detail.
BSNL Rs 777 plan: The 500GB or Rs 777 CUL plan will offer speeds up to 100mbps until the 500GB limit is reached. Once the limit is reached, the speed will be limited to 5 Mbps.
The plan is available to users across the country except those in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Previously, the 500GB CUL plan limited the speed to 2 Mbps once 500GB was reached. The plan is available for a 90-day promotional basis, Telecom Talk reported.
New users who sign up for the Rs 777 plan will have to pay the security deposit for one month. After six months, subscribers to the 500GB CUL plan will be migrated to the 600GB CUL plan. The 600GB CUL plan comes in at Rs 849 per month and offers speeds of 50Mbps up to 600GB. After the limit, the speed is reduced to 2 Mbps.
BSNL has further extended the availability of two plans: 50 GB CUL and 120 GB CUL for a promotional period of 90 days. These plans are again available throughout India except the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
50 GB CUL: This plan offers speeds of 20mbps up to 50GB, after which the speed is reduced to 1mbps. The 50GB CUL costs Rs 299 per month.
120 GB CUL: This plan offers speeds of 20mbps up to 120GB, after which the speed is reduced to 1mbps. The 120GB CUL is priced at Rs 491 per month. Users will be moved to the plans selected by them at the time of the customer acquisition form. If they do not subscribe to a regular broadband plan, they will be moved to the 2GB CUL and 3GB CUL plans respectively.
The 2GB CUL plan offers speeds of 8mbps up to 2GB, after which the speed is reduced to 1mbps. The 3GB CUL plan also provides 8mbps speed up to 3GB data, after which the speed is reduced to 1mbps. Users who subscribe to the 50GB CUL and 120GB CUL plans will have to pay the security deposit for one month of Rs 500.
