Audi will phase out combustion engines over 10-15 years – WirtschaftsWoche

    BERLIN (Reuters) – Volkswagen’s premium automaker Audi aims to phase out combustion engines and only offer electric cars between 10 and 15 years at the latest, German weekly WirtschaftsWoche reported, citing no sources.

    The company is currently working on a concrete timeline and expects to have target dates in the coming months for phasing out at individual plants, he said.

    He quoted Audi CEO Markus Duesmann as saying in an interview that “environmental protection and economic success go together well”.
