Apple stops selling Bose, Sonos, and Logitech ahead of rumored launches

Apple abruptly stopped selling Bose, Sonos and Logitech products. It is reported that Apple is ready to arrive with its new range of audio products. Apart from the iPhone and the iPad, Apple sold wireless speakers, noise-canceling headphones from Bose and other brands, but no more.

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple has quietly stopped selling Bose, Sonos, and Logitech audio products because it plans to launch its new range of wireless headphones and speakers. The first product Apple could launch would be over-ear headphones. Apple has also been working on a smaller version of the HomePod smart speaker. It seems like a well thought-out move to stop selling the competition before launching their products.

If you search for products including the Logitech Ultimate Ears Megaboom speaker or Bose headphones on the Apple website, you will receive a message that says, “The product you are looking for is no longer available on apple.com”

However, a Verge report claimed that all of these products were available on Apple’s website until September 15. This indicates that Apple may have removed all non-Apple devices from their website recently. Now if you look at the website, you will only find Apple products in all categories.

The Bloomberg report also said that Apple executives have been asked to remove Bose, Logitech and Sonos products from its retail stores as well. Bose and Logitech also told Bloomberg that Apple has effectively stopped selling their audio products.

In early April 2020, Apple had begun work on over-the-ear headphones, just like the noise-canceling Bose 700 smart headphones. They have been codenamed B515 and have been reported to have features such as active noise cancellation and other features related to high quality sound. Over-the-ear headphones are speculated to be priced at $ 350, which is around Rs 27,000.
