Apple is working to bring support for the Xbox Series X, Series S and Sony PlayStation 5 controllers on iPhone. While the company officially announces its partnership with Microsoft for the Xbox Series X and Series S controllers that will be supported on iPhone in the near future, he left only a hint for the PS5. For you, this would mean your iPhone new and some old models will support controllers that come with Xbox Series S, Series X and the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller for gaming.

The new Xbox Series X and Series S controllers are not officially supported on iPhone and iPad, via iOS and iPadOS, but Apple mentioned on its website that it is working with Microsoft “to bring Xbox Series X controller compatibility to customers in a future update.” The future update refers to an upcoming iOS and iPadOS update that will bring support to the new one iPhone 12 series, as well as some recent ones such as iPhone 11 and iPhone XS.

The iPhone currently supports Xbox Wireless Controller with Bluetooth (Model 1708), Xbox Series 2 Elite Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, and PlayStation DualShock 4 Wireless Controller.

For the DualSense of PlayStation 5, the latest beta of iOS 14.3 hides some codes suggesting upcoming support for PS5 controllers on the iPhone. There is support for wired and wireless connections to DualSense controllers, but none of them work at the moment. Perhaps Apple will add features to use this support in a future update, which may be under the beta channel. Apple hasn’t said anything official about this development, unlike what it did for the Microsoft collaboration.

The Xbox Series X and Series S controllers offer new feedback responses and controls for the latest generation game consoles, which also applies to Sony’s DualSense controllers for PlayStation 5. The Xbox Series X, Series S, and PlayStation 5 controllers are now available for purchase in the US, but the latter is not yet available for purchase in India. Sony has released a statement announcing a delay in the release in India without specifying a particular date for the new PlayStation 5.

But while Microsoft’s Xbox Series S and Series X consoles are available for pre-order, they’re hardly in stock when sales open. Microsoft had previously confirmed that there will be problems with the regular supply of Xbox Series X and Series S controllers in India. The Xbox Series S is priced at Rs 34,990 while the Xbox Series X costs Rs 49,990.

All four iPhone the models are now also available in India. There are iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max now on sale in India. In case Apple releases controller support for iPhone 12 devices in the series, users will have more options to play. Only some games with high graphics and high interactivity require you to necessarily use controllers for the game. The A14 Bionic processor is powerful enough to take care of these games, including those available through Apple Arcade.

Apple is expected to add support for the new Xbox Series X and Series S controllers on iPhone, along with support for the DualSense controller.
