Apple iPhone could run faster with MagSafe cooling cases, reveals patent

Apple iPhone is among the fastest smartphones available today. But like other smartphones, the iPhone it tends to heat up when the processor reaches its threshold to provide maximum performance. This could change in the near future. Apple is allegedly working on cooling cases for the iPhone using the MagSafe connector which will allow the device to run even faster without overheating for a long time. MagSafe Cooling Cases will provide heat dissipation and cooling a iPhone to extract more power.

As reported by AppleInsider, Apple filed a patent called “Smart case for a portable electronic device” with the US Patent and Trademark Office, hinting at a MagSafe accessory that would raise the operating thermal threshold of the iPhone. This is particularly a case where the iPhone it will use additional hardware to channel heat using electromagnets, thereby reducing the pressure on the phone’s CPU. Consequently, the iPhone will be able to run faster when handling high temperatures. The patent shows that the MagSafe case will incorporate magnets which can generate a magnetic field all around the iPhone.

The performance of a device is tied to two hardware components, its processor and its battery. The battery is an integral part of a smartphone, giving it power for everything it does, using the processor. But when the device is asked to handle heavy workloads, the processor goes beyond its regular limits to reach the point where it can deliver maximum output throughput. But as it does so, it puts a lot of pressure on the battery, thereby raising the temperature of the device. This phenomenon is common to all types of electronic devices and not just smartphones.

Apple hasn’t detailed much on how the iPhone The processor or battery will manage or detect this new MagSafe accessory and whether users will be able to control some or all of its aspects. This is a patent at this stage, which means Apple may or may not bring this accessory to market. But given that Apple has high hopes for its MagSafe technology for the iPhone 12 series, this case seems possible. Its entire range of MagSafe accessories is based on the fact that these components can help the iPhone 12 get something that creates an individual use case for Apple smartphones.

Apple has launched MagSafe chargers, MagSafe leather case and MagSafe cases for mobile devices iPhone 12 series. Its recent development for MagSafe technology is the MagSafe Duo charger which enables the iPhone and another device, which could be the Apple Watch or AirPods, to charge at the same time.

Apple has filed a new patent in the United States that reveals a new MagSafe accessory that will help the iPhone manage the heat to run faster.

News Underline:

  • Apple could work on a MagSafe cooling case for iPhone.
  • This MagSafe case could provide the extension iPhone with more space to channel the heat.
  • Apple has equipped the iPhone 12 series with MagSafe connectors on the back.
